Notts County and Their Mission to Return to the Football League

As the oldest professional football club in the world, Notts County have experienced just about everything it’s possible to go through in football over the last 159 years.

Currently playing in the National League, County are putting all their efforts into returning to League 2 and the English Football League at the third time of asking. As they look to do this they are taking an innovative approach and embracing new technologies to find an edge over their opponents.

Bepro are a big part of this. Towards the end of last season, the club installed a Bepro Fixed Camera System in their Meadow Land ground. This provided a live tactical video feed that was accessed by coaching staff on the sideline, giving the perfect view of the action. This allowed coaches to make more informed tactical decisions, whether it be making a substitution, altering the team’s formation or anything else.

Richard Montague, Notts County Director has been a big part of this push. On the agreement with Bepro he said: “We’re always looking for new ways to analyse our own performance and gain edges as we look to restore our Football League status. Bepro’s camera systems allow us to look at our performance with a forensic level of detail.”

The club is also installing a camera system in the training ground. This provides the perfect view of every training session. Coaches can focus their view on individual drills, small side matches and set piece preparation thanks to the interactive video player.

This video can be reviewed. Were players completing exercises as expected? Was my right back controlling the right area in set piece run throughs? Is my goalkeeping setting themselves correctly before a penalty? Every training session provides an opportunity to improve and prepare for the next competitive game. Without reliable video, much of this opportunity is lost.

We’re excited to be helping Notts County find their next level and share more news on our work together soon!
